Heavy reading

Taking in the monuments, museums and other attractions of Washington D.C. can be an awe inspiring experience. While peering up and reading President Abraham Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address, which is chiseled into the stone at the Lincoln Memorial, this youngster seemed to be having one of those moments. I have no idea if she understood what she was reading, but I believe the feeling that comes over you as you stand in such a meaningful place is universal no matter your age.

  1. I understand the speaker who went before Abraham Lincoln was a polished speaker, and his speech went on for hours. But whose do we remember?
