Spoon-fed life

I had the chance to hang out with Howard Ludwig, a freelance journalist, at his Morgan Park home in Chicago for a story about stay-at-home dads. Howard and his two sons Bubba, 3, and Peter, 1, were great to let me spend some time with them as they went to the park, played, stopped for a snack and eventually went to bed for a midday nap. Now that’s livin’!

Howard gives Bubba a spoonful of yogurt at the kitchen table here as Peter patiently waits for his turn. I got some good laughs out of their interaction and Bubba and Peter were GREAT kids. Howard has the dad thing down too. It’s really one of the best perks of a journalist’s career. You get the chance to meet people you never would have if not for your job. Just a simple photograph of a regular, nice moment in one family’s life.

  1. Nice shot! It’s impressive when you can make a simple, daily life experience look interesting.
