Storming the city

For several weeks, I’ve been staking out a section of the Chicago River for a photo I just know will eventually happen, but yesterday I noticed a fleet of kayaks heading toward downtown in the opposite direction and shot this photo looking through a tree line just off the shore.

Those who know me know I enjoy my time in the canoe and on the river in general. It’s peaceful and relaxing to me. Traffic doesn’t exist on the river. Only things to see and the navigation is more fun than frustrating. This weekend, take time no matter where you are to relax and let the current carry you wherever it may go. It can do wonders.
