Pie in the eye at Beye
Nothing evokes pleasure from fifth-graders quite like smashing a pie pan full of whipped cream in the face of one of their teachers. Sydney Hauser celebrates with classmates after doing just that to teacher Paul Manus during a weekend fun fair. Odd little tradition, but fun nonetheless. (I’m borrowing the headline above from the Wednesday Journal. I’m not sure who came up with it, but it’s pretty clever.)
Beye is this sweet little elementary school nestled in Oak Park. I have yet to come across someone there with even a hint of a nasty streak. Just nice, nice folks. Truly a place you would love to have your children attend.
