Back on track
Track and field events are extremely easy to photograph. You know where the action is going to be, even down to an exact lane. All you really have to do as a photographer is be patient, put yourself in position and fire away when athletes come into your focus field. Getting names is probably the toughest task. That, or avoiding a sunburn.
I like to get as low as possible to shoot runners. I was flat on my stomach near the finish line shooting this frame. I like the perspective it allows and you can see heat vapors on most track surfaces which adds another element. This one is from the Riverside Brookfield Bulldog Invitational last weekend.
