Hot on the trail
Our dog Leinie is photogenic. Or at least we think she is. Until now, though, I have resisted posting any photographs of her on this ol’ blog. Now’s the time. I’m guessing more will occasionally follow.
My wife and I found Leinie — we named after my favorite beer, Leinenkugel’s — at Animal Care League in Oak Park back in October. I have a theory she might be the greatest dog in the world, but that’s still somewhat unsubstantiated.
Turns out Leinie loves the snow and during a recent visit to Lindberg Park we attempted to play a little fetch in the white stuff. In her exuberance to catch up with the tennis ball at her typical Mach 4 speed, though, she more often than not buried the ball and then spent the next couple minutes digging through the snow with her snout to find it. Funny thing is, I don’t think she’s even within ten feet of where it actually was.
