Pavement pounding

Thousands participated in the 2011 Shamrock Shuffle last Saturday. I’m not sure why a race named after the national emblem of Ireland is held in the month of April and not March, but that’s for smarter people than me to figure out. As runners approached the final mile of the race they passed some of the varied architecture along Michigan Ave. near Grant Park. I put my camera on the ground and shot a few frames as legs and running shoes zipped by.

  1. That’s a wicked great shot. Great angle and the building and tone of the image are sweet.
